The EZ-Pick II has the form of a pen with a mounting device to attach sampling probes like needles or knifes at the front end.

Inside the pen there are an ultra-mini high performance CCD and a specially designed optical lens built in.

While manipulating your samples or extracting smallest particles for further examination, your sample prep operations are visualized on the attached 7” LCD Monitor.

According to your specific application you can insert the appropriate type of sample probe onto the head of the stylus.

The EZ-Pick Micromanipulator is a versatile and easy-to-use device that converts your microscope from an observational instrument into a practical sample preparation tool

Manual handling of micro samples is often too unsteady while use of joystick controlled micromanipulators can be complex and expensive.

The EZ-Pick-tool is ideal for any application where demanding micromanipulation is needed and has a justifiable price even for minor applications.

4 Steps To Effective Micromanipulation:

  1. Special assembly to attach and fix the required sampling tool (needle, knife, diamond scrabbler,..) to the manipulator.
     
  2. The entire tool is mounted directly on the objective of your microscope.
     
  3. Tip of sampling tool and the sample specimen on the stage are aligned and brought into focus.
     
  4. By using the X-Y-Z movement of the microscope stage the sample can be manipulated, cut, sectioned, etc.

The sample is simply compressed between the diamond windows by turning thumb screws until the sample is thin enough for the beam of the spectrophotometer to penetrate.

The Diamond Cell simplifies sample preparation of samples, which are difficult to manage by other techniques:

Standard materials such as KBr and BaF2 have long been used as windows for spectroscopic applications. These materials, however, present a number of problems. For example, they can be easily scratched and are difficult to clean.

Diamond windows do not have these problems. They are extremely hard and therefore almost impossible to scratch or damage, and they are easily cleaned.
