Various clamps can be used with the MicroVice Sample Holder to support you holding & handling your samples.
Standard Clamps
Hold Round & Unevenly Shaped Samples
Samples such as tablets & any multidimensional specimen can be held under compression in any required position, so that the area of interest is aligned perfectly with the field of view.
These clamps are included with all MicroVice sample holders.
Clamping Plates
Hold & Stretch Fibers and Films
Fibers, films and similar samples can be easily clamped taut and stretched by user defined increments.
These clamps are included with all MicroVice sample holders.
SliceIR Clamps
Enhanced cross sections & analysis of multi-layer films
With the additionally available SliceIR Clamps you can securely fix your samples in an angle of 15° , 30° or also in 90° and then cut them easily with a razor blade.
Cutting your sample in a 15°/30° angle enlarges the cross-section of your sample two/four times. Likewise, the various layers of your samples are more discernible, so that even the thinnest layers of your sample are visible for analysis.
These clamps can be purchased additionally. All clamps fit on all MicroVice sample holder models.

Films & Fibers Clamps
Easy Handling of fibers & films
These clamps provide ease of use & experimental flexibility when handling fibers, films & other long, thin, flexible materials.
They feature spring loaded jaws with silicone pads to ensure secure but delicate grip. You can easily insert and fix your film or fiber and then stretch the sample equally to both sides.
These clamps can be purchased additionally. Clamps fit on all MicroVice sample holder models.
